Sugar cravings are caused by a sharp drop in the body’s blood sugar levels. The drop is usually caused by eating sugary foods, sweets and snacks which give us an enormous sugar rush followed by a sharp dip. Your body’s message to the brain is a call for “fuel” and this translates to you as a sugar craving. The cycle then continues.
