I had given up hope of ever getting slim as I had tried many different diets over the years and none of them had ever worked satisfactorily for me. On one particular day last summer, I saw a diet advert in my local paper. Normally I had ignored them as they had never worked before but I gave this one a second reading. The reason was, that it was different from previous adverts that I had seen as it had a web site address as well as a phone number. I cut it out of the paper and put it to one side, then one day when I was feeling particularly despondent over my size, I remembered it and thought well it would not do any harm to take a look at the web site as I would not have to talk to anyone at this stage. I visited the site and felt that the weight loss testimonials were great and wondered if it could help me, so I plucked up the courage and completed the form.

The phone rang one evening and it was a lady, responding to my enquiry. My first question to her was “Is it a powder based product? When she informed me that part of it was, I then immediately said “I will stop you there then as I cannot take that kind of product, it makes me ill and I do not want to waste your time”. She then asked how I had taken the other product and I replied “mixed with milk”. She then explained that the Herbalife product can be mixed with fruit juice. I wavered a bit then but was still uncertain, so she offered to come to my house and let me try some. I felt that she was being so helpful that I had to agree and an appointment was arranged. Due to a personal emergency, I had to cancel that appointment but made another one shortly afterwards. We went through all the information in detail and then we had a tasting session. All my uncertainties disappeared and I purchased my first set of products.

I did not allow myself to believe that I would get brilliant results as I did not want to be disappointed but that soon changed as the weight started to come off. By the end of six weeks, I had lost 22lbs despite having been on holiday for two of those weeks and it just continued to disappear. I was absolutely delighted by Christmas as I had then lost four stone and had gone down two dress sizes and then by mid January I had lost another 7 lbs and into the next dress size. I had reached a weight that I had not been since I was a teenager and felt fantastic. In total I have now lost six and a half stone and gone down 5 dress sizes.

I did have concerns about keeping it off but I need not have worried as I have kept if off for over a year now and have discarded all my old clothes as I have no use for them now.

I am so glad that I saw that Herbalife advert in the local paper as it has changed my life, because not only am I a slimmer person but I have become a distributor and have a new life working for myself and reap the rewards of helping other people to achieve what I have. My only regret is that I did not find the business much sooner.

Sarah Parsley

I am 32 years old and have suffered from the condition known as PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) since I was 19. This meant that I was unable to control my weight and seemed to go from a size 12 to 24 within a very short period of time. My hair started to get very thin and fall out. I was constantly tired all the time and found myself having to have a sleep during the day just to keep going. I did not have a regular menstrual cycle and would sometimes go months without having a cycle at all!! I would constantly be in pain and was bloated (looking about 6 months pregnant) and uncomfortable all the time and my mood swings were unbearable for the whole family!

As I am sure you can imagine this had a massive impact on my life. I had to give up horse riding (which I loved & owned my own horse), I had no self-confidence and would not go out at all. Even trying to buy things like clothes became a major issue.

I had tried practically every ‘diet' that was going and even some that people had never even heard of and had probably just been ‘made-up' out of sheer desperation. Nothing seemed to work to any degree or length of time. Unfortunately, the only way to try and control this condition, because of it being mainly hormone related, is to lose weight which to me seemed a completely impossible task.

I started on the Herbalife products (F1, F2, F3 & Thermo) at the beginning of January 2002 and was fairly sceptical as nothing had worked previously. Within 3 days I started to feel better and my husband noticed a change in my mood swings. Within my first 15 days I lost 19lbs and 13 inches and as you can imagine I WAS DELIGHTED. I also suffered from horrendous back pain following a major car crash. For this I was on massive amounts of pain killers and having to have steroid injections into my spine. I stopped taking prescription pain killers within 2 weeks of taking Herbalife products . I am now able to get out of bed and stand up straight immediately rather than half an hour later!

I have now been on the products for 12 months and in total have lost 85lbs and 72 inches and have dropped 6 dress sizes. My energy levels have gone through the roof and I have so many more hours in my day now to spend with my two young children. My hair has also started to improve and thicken up and my cycle has completely returned (better than ever before). I no longer suffer from mood swings, PMT, pain or bloatedness. I now also take Tang Kuei, Herbalifeline, Florafibre, Xtracal, Cell Activator, Formula 4 & Shizandra – pretty much everything! I would go as far as to say that these products have given me back my life and have had a dramatic impact on my family life. The even more amazing news is that after 11 years I now have my horse back and have started riding again without the fear that he will collapse beneath me!

Tina Hill

My name is Tina Hill and I am 37 years old. A car accident left me with spinal injuries, to an extent that I had five operations in the space of two years. I had spent years on medication. I was unable to exercise regularly and had regular physiotherapy for six years. My weight increased by two and a half stone. I had no energy at all. I was given a leaflet and held onto it for six months. I was scared of failing another diet. My health was a major concern, so eventually I knew I had to do something.

I lost my two and a half stone, seven inches off of my hips, eight inches off of my waist and six inches off of my bust and have completely stopped all physiotherapy. Herbalife has changed my life. My back problems are still physically there, but my body copes with them so much better as a result of the weight loss and the fantastic nutrition. I now have energy to enjoy life and have put around three hours on my day.

In November 2001 I started as a distributor. Once I started looking into the business my husband and I realised that it had real potential to give me a way out of my stressful job in IT. I was determined never to go back to how I used to be, and I had become used to feeling healthy.

At the beginning of April 2002 I gave up my job to concentrate on Herbalife full-time. I have replaced my wages and I have got the flexibility to catch up with life. I have travelled to Cologne, Malaga, Nice, Holland and Paris with the Business. Soon we are off to Barcelona.

I have made some fantastic friends. It’s amazing how everyone just wants the best for you. My aim is for my husband to be able to give up his stressful full time job and spend more quality time together enjoying a very good level of lifestyle. I am looking forward to a healthy future making people’s lives a little better with products I love.

I have struggled with my weight for 12 years, constantly yoyo dieting trying to find a diet that actually worked for me. However, with no success, I found my weight gradually increasing due to the Polly Cystic Ovaries Syndrome. My dress size had escalated to a size 24-26 from 16. I was very, very self-conscious and embarrassed of my appearance, and my self-esteem was at an all time low.

Paul thought that weekly exercise at the squash club would cure the love handles, but after playing squash, two chip cobs and a pint of beer, to his astonishment they were still there. Both Paul and I used to be the classic evening nibbles, you name it we ate it. Due to our eating habits, we both suffered regularly with indigestion problems. Since taking the products, this is a thing of the past. We have gained at least five extra hours a day and our vitality levels are fantastic compared to before. I lost six stone, and dropped from size 24-26 to size 12-14 whilst Paul lost three Stone, dropped from a 40” to 30” waist.

Kim & Brian Seldon

This is how I was when Brian met me 8 years ago; I was very able and my hobbies included horse riding and ice-skating. I had been bringing up my two children on my own for 6 years.

I was a hairdresser, but in attempt to fit my working hours in with my children's school hours, I also found employment helping the less gifted children within the classrooms at a local Secondary School, whilst hairdressing from home in the evenings and at weekends. Brian and I were married in 1996 and within a year of us marrying arthritis hit me big time, and I mean HIT me. The change in our lives in such a short space of time was frightening.

Pain & Depression: This is how I was shortly after moving to North Yorkshire 6 years ago I had to give up work, I was wearing wrist splints, using a walking stick and having regular 4-6 monthly cortisone injections in my left hip whilst under x-ray, which would knock me off my feet for 5-6 days at a time.

I had arthritis in my right hand which caused my hand to curl, I couldn't straighten my hand at all, arthritis was also in my wrist, knee, ankle and in my breast bone and in my heels. When having a really bad arthritic flare I used to have to wait for Brian to come in from work to peel the vegetables for dinner, as I couldn't hold a knife in my hand. When eating my meal I found it very embarrassing to have to have my food cut up for me, I had always been so in control of my life during the previous 6 years it was devastating. As you can see by my daughter Lianne's face, this also had a knock on effect on my children's happiness.

Overweight: This was after consistently taking 10 tablets or more every day (which was playing havoc with my stomach), although the doctors were starting to ease some of the pain on these tablets they were contributing to my gaining weight and even with help from the hospital dietician I couldn't get my weight off.

The hospital dietician and the arthritis specialist offered to put me on diet pills, but when they explained the humiliating side effects I decided I didn't want to take them. So when the Herbalife leaflet came through my door it was my last ditch attempt to take control and get my life back again.

My newly found Independent Herbalife Distributor (Trish Wildon) advised me on a Herbalife meal replacement weight loss program. Due to us struggling with our finances, Trish very kindly suggested I became a distributor to receive a wholesale discount, which would make the products more affordable. I am pleased to say Brian and I did take up this opportunity that Trish offered us and Trish became our sponsor. Having been fortunate enough to be born into a large family (and the majority of them being overweight) I soon had a small customer base.

I am now 40lbs lighter, I no longer rely on Brian to prepare the vegetables for dinner, I cut up my own food and I have no need for my walking stick anymore. I show my dogs, (both won blue rosettes at Crufts in year 2002) and I also run my Herbalife business as well as my home and family once again. Mr Gough my arthritis Specialist has reduced my prescribed medication by almost half and I now see him only at six monthly intervals. There was no mention of a hip replacement last time I visited, (which is a point he had been pushing, on past visits to him) and he is also talking of reducing my prescribed arthritis medication even further when I visit him in six months time. I have had a cortisone injection into my hip recently but hadn't needed one for over 18 months prior to that! My specialist MR Gough, Brian my husband and I, are extremely pleased with my progress since taking the Herbalife products! My most recent photo's taken whilst at Eastwell Manor a promotion we qualified for last summer. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS IN LIFE IS WHERE MY FAMILY AND I ARE GOING NOW!
